More About Us

Elevating the voices of the community

Our Mission:

Manchester Community Action Coalition (MCAC) is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe space for the marginalized (Black, Brown, Indigenous, Immigrant, POC, Disability, LGBTQIA+) community in Manchester to discuss, share, and discover needs within the community. MCAC was formed in 2020 to elevate the voices of community members to the city of Manchester and to identify community-driven solutions. This is critically needed as marginalized community members in Manchester do not have equal opportunity or representation in community and civic matters.

Our Values:

Our vision is that people of color in Manchester, specifically our BIPOC youth, will have equal opportunity and representation in community and civic matters. Over time, we hope that communities of color will experience stronger community ties, children will be encouraged to achieve and succeed, and families of color will have equal social and economic opportunities. We envision a city of Manchester with more diversity, and a welcoming community that fully integrates all residents and builds a strong social fabric.
