Our Community.
We aim to improve our lives as we organize ourselves to work together, create a unified agenda and solutions that promote the wellbeing, sense of belonging, dignity and justice for all. We are committed to advocating, researching, referring, and taking action to directly address the concerns and issues currently affecting our community.
Our community truly leads our work. While our large group operates through majority vote during Town Halls, we have established smaller working groups for each of our buckets of work. The three sub-groups utilize a consensus-based decision-making model to ensure broader representation. This structure enables us to efficiently coordinate our core volunteers, sub-groups, and projects, while also fostering skill and leadership development in community organizing, nonprofit management, and democratic decision-making.
